FREELANCE CIWM WAMITAB ASSESSOR / MENTOR
Waste Training & Consultancy Ltd are seeking CIWM WAMITAB Assessors who will play an integral role in our CIWM (WAMITAB) Training Centre.
The Assessor Role
As a CIWM WAMITAB (RQF) assessor, You will be responsible for a variety of undertakings, including:
Planning and running training and mentoring sessions
Observing and assessing: RQF assessors will observe and assess learners both in their workplace, in a learning environment or remotely using technology.
Examining portfolios both remotely via electronic e-Portfolio and in person during site visit.
Interviewing, discussing and questioning learners: You will use a range of diverse methods to ascertain the level and breadth of a learners knowledge and understanding.
Providing feedback: As an assessor, you must be able to provide fair and constructive feedback and advice learners on how to meet those standards that may be lacking in evidence / information.
Keeping records: You must be excellent at keeping assessment records, plans and timesheets. All of our learner progress records are now electronic records and all contact needs to be logged.
Working with others: You are required to work closely with people, including learners, centre staff, internal verification assurers and employers.
Attending meetings: We require our assessors to meet often for standardisation meetings. You will be asked to participate in standardisation meetings.
Evaluating: As an assessor, you must be able to evaluate your learners progress and completion, when all requirements are met.
As well as Waste Training & Consultancy Ltd handing you learners, you are expected to also promote the business and bring in learners of your own to help with continued engagement.
Contract Type
The contract type is - Self Employed – Part Time - Freelance
We will ask you to agree to a Service Level Agreement to provide services to Waste Training & Consultancy Ltd, and you will invoice Waste Training & Consultancy Ltd for your services in line with this contract.
Essential Criteria
Exceptional communication and organisational skills,
Excellent presentation, and interpersonal skills.
2 Years minimum industry experience.
1 Year minimum assessment experience.
Relevant CIWM qualifications Held (HROC6, HROC4, HROC1, MROC1 or equivalent preferred).
Hold an appropriate Assessors qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1).
Hold a Teaching Qualification Certificate ((i.e. PTLLS, Cert Ed, C&G 7302).
